       At MPC we believe that in order to build strong faith in our children we
       must have a strong youth program. So our purpose is to plan, provide,
       and support activities and programs that will encourage and guide our
       youth into developing a relationship with Jesus Christ while fostering a
       group with which they can belong and share like Christian values.

       We have several activities that our youth can get involved, but here is a
       quick snapshot of some of what we have going on!

       Fundraisers
        Pancake Brunch - Held the 3rd Sunday of each month immediately
       following worship to promote fellowship within the church.  All donations
       go to support Youth South Dakota Mission Trip in August 2011.

       Activities
       Based on the success of Wild Week, we are completely changing the
       way youth group is done. The 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month will
       be our high school nights, called FrenetiCafe. It will be part coffeehouse,
       part movie theater, part game room, part… whatever else we can think
       of! Each month will feature a different band or artist, movie, etc. This will
       be for high school only, grades 9-12, and give them a chance to just
       come and hang out with friends, listen to some good music, etc. Our first
       meeting will be Saturday, 9/18 from 6:00-8:30.
       Our middle school program, called Frenetic Fridays will be on the 2nd
       and 4th Fridays of each month. Frenetic Fridays will be crazy, fast-paced
       and fun! This will be much like Wild Week in style, but will be smaller in
       size. Games, food, prizes, movie nights, etc. We’ll have it all! It’s going to
       be amazing. Many more details will follow as we get closer to the start
       date. Our first meeting will be Friday, 9/24 from 6:00-8:30.
       Frenetic means chaotic, fast-paced, disordered… all of our lives would be
       frenzied and confused, meaningless without Jesus, who brings order and
       stability to our chaotic lives. Though the pace of our lives may seem like a
       violent storm, we can look to Jesus… the one who calms the storm.
       
       Upcoming trips
        11/19-21 Middle School “Alive” conference in Ocean City, MD –.    
       This will be an amazing time for our middle school students.  It will feature
       great concerts, several comedians, beach games, and great teaching
       from the Bible.
       8/5/11-8/14/11 – South Dakota Mission Trip.  Still accepting sign-ups.
       $100 deposit needed.
