PRAY for our Missionaries

10 Ways to Pray for MPC Missionaries

1.  For the ability to adapt and feel comfortable in the culture where God has placed them: Many of our missionaries are in foreign lands working with foreign cultures.  Not only do they have to deal with learning a new language, but also they deal with adapting to a new culture.  Pray for their ability to do so as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

2.  For guidance and direction: Pray for wisdom and sensitivity, as they seek to move in the direction that the Lord leads them out on the mission field.

3.  For their safety: This includes traveling mercies as well as physical and emotional protection.  Some of our missionaries are in imminent danger for attempting to share the Gospel.

4.  For the adaptation and education of their children: Many of our missionaries have school-age children.  Pray for quality educational opportunities for their children, as well as the opportunities for their children to grow spiritually.

5.  For their spiritual growth: Pray for quality quiet times for our missionaries, as they seek to grow closer to Christ on a daily basis.  Pray for our married couples to have time to grow together as a couple, as well as families to be able to grow stronger as well.

6.  For their health: Many of our missionaries do not have access to quality healthcare like many of us do.  Pray for good health and the availability of quality healthcare and medicine if needed.

7.    For evidence of God using them: Many missionaries labor their entire lives in God's service with little or no visible evidence of the fruit they are bearing.  Pray that God will encourage them with tangible evidence that they are truly serving Him, and that He is using them in a mighty way.

8.    For their support/funding needs: Almost all of our missionaries have to raise money (called support), to enable them to serve God in the mission field.  This money is donated on an annual basis by churches (like MPC) and individuals.  Pray that God will continue to provide the necessary funds to allow His work to be done through His missionaries.

9.    For the physical and emotional well being of their families back home: Many of our missionaries are laboring thousands of miles away from their families' back home.  Pray for the safety of those families, as well as, our missionaries as they deal with being separated from their loved ones.

10.  For worship, growth and fellowship opportunities: Being in a foreign country, it is often difficult for our missionaries to find opportunities for worship and fellowship.  Pray for such opportunities to arise, and that our missionaries would be able to take advantage of them.

5 Ways to Pray for A Mission Organization

1.  For God's guidance: Pray for the leaders of the organization to feel a strong sense of the Lord's leading and then the ability to move in that direction.

2.  For continued provision of funding and resources: Many of our organizations have wonderful ministries and yet they continue to need the money and resources to maintain those ministries.  Pray for God’s provision in those areas.

3.  For volunteers to help serve: Even with enough funding, many mission organizations are in dire need of volunteers to help in a variety of areas of ministry.  Pray that not only would the "harvest be plentiful" but that the workers would be, too.

4.  For the ministry to be Christ centered and one that changes lives: Pray that their organization would be one that truly honors Christ, and one that follows in His footsteps.

5.    For the leaders and workers to live lives centered on Christ: Pray for the spiritual growth of each leader and volunteer in the organization that they would be growing in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus.
