| Ministry Our mission is to provide many opportunities to grow in the Spirit through discipleship and fellowship. Our ministry groups provide a place to build relationships in a personal, comfortable environment! We hang out, catch up, and join in dynamic discussions with people just like ourselves. We just plain have fun! Our goal is to build a community where nobody stands alone. We offer a wide variety of choices for everyone: Small Groups - MPC has several Small Groups that meet regularly throughout the year to study the Bible and participate in group discussion. They typically share a meal or refreshments and enjoy good Christian fellowship together. Middletown Church Women (MCW) – our purpose is to build a caring community of women that strengthens the Church and helps women to be a living witness to Christ in our daily lives and relationships. All women of the church are considered members so we plan various types of events--both small group and church-wide activities to celebrate the joy of being a woman and to build strong relationships. Keep-In-Touch Program – The Adult Ministry Team coordinates the Keep In Touch program for our college students. Adults volunteer to communicate with a college student throughout the school year with gentle reminders that the church is thinking about them while they are away studying hard at college. The mentors gather each year in early February to put together special Valentine Care packages for each of our students. Senior Care Ministries – We are a volunteer, Christian, educational organization whose primary purpose is to provide information of special importance to seniors and their adult children. SCM is made up of qualified individuals from a variety of professions, including healthcare, law, accounting, financial services, and retirement management who offer their time and talents without compensation to present seminars, workshops, and other educational programs focusing on the special needs of older adults. The volunteers of SCM have decades of experience in providing services to seniors. Participants in the programs will have these professionals available to answer their questions, but will not be obligated to use their services. They will offer any participant a free initial consultation to cover issues that could not be covered during the presentation. SCM partners with local churches and organizations to provide programs for seniors and the adult children of aging parents. Each attendee receives valuable information for present and future plans and decisions. They are dedicated to helping all seniors and their families obtain quality care and peace of mind in their later years. Music – Our music program gives everyone the opportunity to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. On Sundays, we rotate between our traditional choir and our contemporary band. If you like to just sing or sing & play a musical instrument – we invite you to join in. |
